An easy recipe that includes some delicious spells too!

This is my go-to recipe when I want to share some love with my family. So my magical intention is usually showing love and sharing my heart with those I love most.

The moment I turn on my oven I speak aloud my magical intentions. And I continue to speak that truth throughout the baking process. Feel free to do your own thing here, but if you're interested I've included my personal intentions where applicable.

This recipe was created by my son’s partner who is a master in the kitchen especially when it comes to baking. It’s a combination of a few recipes they merged together to create a chewy yet crispy-edged chocolate chip cookie.

Fair warning on this family favorite though, one batch never lasts very long.

*This recipe works really well using a large mixer such as a KitchenAid, but it’s not necessary. If you are hand-mixing, remember that stirring clockwise charges our intentions for growth and positive change. Stirring counter-clockwise will charge our intentions to banish something from our lives.

Witchy Properties

This recipe includes ingredients for the perfect love spell!

Salt is probably the most commonly known addition used in witchcraft spells, blessings, and rituals. So, of course, we added it here too!

Cinnamon is often used in spellwork to invite positivity as well as repel negativity. And it's the perfect delicious companion to the vanilla needed in this recipe. Vanilla is commonly used by kitchen witches to add warmth and love to many spells and recipes.

Butter is sometimes used to call upon a maternal grandmother's protection. I note this ability often because cooking and baking remind me of the many times I worked alongside my grandmother in her kitchen.

Sugar is used to attract and is often found in love spells of all sorts. And brown sugar in particular is said to invite sweetness, comfort, and love into your life when used in cooking and spellwork.

Chocolate isn't only to sweeten our tastebuds. It's commonly used in love spells because of its ability to relieve stress as well as boost feelings of pleasure.

Witchy Tip #1
Remember to keep your magical intentions clear throughout your mixing and baking. This will allow the magical properties of your ingredients to do their thing and help infuse your cookies with those intentions of love.

Baking & Cooling Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • dash of salt
  • dash of cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 stick of melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or about half a bag)
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips (or about half a bag)
Witchy Tip #2
Any time you are mixing ingredients is a perfect time to add in your own unique spells you've created.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350'F.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, salt ("As I add this salt and summon its ability to protect those I love."), and cinnamon ("I add this cinnamon and ask it to summon positivity for the ones I love.") in a large bowl and set aside.
  3. Combine eggs, vanilla ("I add this vanilla and summon its ability to promote love and warmth for those I love."), and melted butter ("As I add this butter I call upon my grandmother and her protection for those I love.") in the mixer's bowl.
  4. Then slowly add in the sugars. ("I add these sugars and summon their ability to sweeten this dough and bring luck to the ones I love.")
  5. Slowly add the mixed dry ingredients into the mixer bowl as well. ("I combine all these ingredients with the intention of love.")
  6. Add semi-sweet chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips to the mix. ("I add this chocolate and summon its ability to bring peace to my loved ones' hearts and minds.")
  7. Drop scoopfuls of dough onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper approximately two inches apart.
  8. Bake at 350'F for ten to twelve minutes.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on cooling racks.

Often I’ll double this recipe to give some away to friends and family as well. If you’re mixing by hand though, and want to double it up, you might want to mix each batch separately as this dough is really thick.

Let me know what you think! I’m sure this will become as popular at your house as it is at mine.
